OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification
OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification is targeted to workers and supervisors with some level of safety responsibility. In addition to the 7 hours of mandatory training topics, students will learn about Managing Safety and Health, Materials Handling, and cover at least five (5) elective topics from a given list for a total of 30 hours of general industry safety training. Participants will receive instruction from authorized OSHA Outreach trainers and a certification card upon successful completion of training and the final exam. Certification requirement: 100% participation in 30 contact hours is required to earn the certification.
Textbook OPTIONAL: OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910 – may be purchased in Cameron Campus Bookstore

The 10-Hour General Industry training program
The 10-Hour General Industry training program is targeted to entry level workers and covers general industry safety and health hazards which may be encountered. Required in 7 hours of the training are an Introduction to OSHA, Walking and Working Surfaces, Emergency Action Plans and Fire Prevention/Protection, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, and Hazard Communication. At least two additional topics from an electives list will be covered for a total of ten (10) training hours.
The OSHA 10 hour Certification will not be scheduled in Fall 2017. Please contact the Business & Industry Training Team to be added to an interest list for Spring offering.
